We are such creatures of comfort. Makes me wonder if it hurts us spiritually. I'm pretty certain it does in some way.

Dude, I just found out there's a snack bar on my floor! all this time and i've been hiking to another part of the mammoth building. Oh well, least I burned some calories there.

Everyone's got 'issues'. What are your 'issues' that prevent you from running for God? Take those 'issues' and give it to God so He can burn it. You'll be free. You'll be glad.

It's one of those days when I'd rather be at home playing guitar or playing with Joshua. Wait...that's every day. Don't mind me...
Some people are harder to love than others, even another brother. But still gotta love them just the same.
The end is near...Sadaam's days are over. Axis of evil: one down two to go.

i want a vacation. Is that a bad thing to ask? Didn't Pastor Jason say if you want to escape, then something's wrong? all I want is a little sunshine and a little golf. Grand Bahamas, $179 round-trip from USAirs =)
Gaylord Focker, his awkward attempt to say grace in 'Meet the Parents':

"Three things we pray:
To love thee more dearly,
To see thee more clearly,
To follow thee more nearly."

Gee...that's actually a brilliant prayer
For the lovable, huggable, unforgettable Joshua:

One tooth two tooth three!
First springtime shower to live
Puddle jumping steps.

So I'm walking to my cubicle this morning, and there's an elderly gentleman. He's reading a woman's catalog, which is rested on top of a trash can, with models in prom dresses and stuff. He turns around to me and this other lady walking near me and casually greets us. Dunno...just something wrong with this picture.

Going out to eat with family friends from back home tonight. I'm pretty excited about that.

Time for Everything

1
There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:

2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,
6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

springtime is here...gee i'm curious how many people I know are thinking about you-know-what?? :P
Golf=time and money. Neither of which I have much of. But I figure, in this 'down-time' before starting med school, I will be investing in the future by learning the fundamentals of the game.
Sailing=money. I feel like since I've been in Maryland, I should at least take something away from the state if I'm to go somewhere else. And even if I stay, as a Marylander it'd be great to enjoy one of the state's greatest pasttimes.
Rock-climbing=??? Johnny really wanted to do this. We'll see if it's my cup of tea.
Ugh...called Maryland, no good news. They put me on 'hold', which is neither accept, reject, nor waitlist. Pretty much my file will be re-reviewed with other 'holds' later and notified towards the end of May. Hopefully I'll get into my actual waitlists before that. Who knows...I'll just try to get it off my mind with golf and other positive distractions.
Ahhh...nother great weekend. Monday greets me by sending hail flying into my face >:(
Friday: Awesome time of fellowship at UMAB. Jaikai stopped by before going on his way to clubbin in DC. Played a rousing game of Trivial Pursuit, where I played on sister's team. Brothers still won. Secretly cheered. Made friends with some dental students.
Spent the night at BSo's place.
Saturday: Talked with BSo about heavy stuff till 4 AM. Woke up at 9AM to some loud gospel video next door. Unnerving...worshipped for a good hour before BSo woke up. Went to watch silent film (BSo won free tix on 91.5) called "The Last Laugh", a 30s silent flick. Was so tired, fell asleep thrice...but it was interesting when I was awake. Watched final 4 games at Roland sis' place. Another boys vs girl trivial pursuit game.
Sunday: Went to church, had lunch with the fellowship (got made fun of by the sister's table), and played 9-hole golf afterwards. I'm improving well under BSo's instructions. Played volleyball/basketball with the church.

BSo is right: church IS our life. Got asked a bunch of times if Maryland has gotten back to me...
